Zoosk Faces a Class Action Over Massive Data Breach
Zoosk and its parent company have been hit with a class-action lawsuit after a May 2020 data breach by a group that calls itself the "ShinyHunters" compromised 30 million users. The group allegedly tried to sell about "200 million stolen records from at least 13 companies.” According to the plaintiffs, Zoosk failed to safeguard users' sensitive data and maintain necessary measures to detect the hack.
